Anandpur Sahib Founded in 1665 by Guru Tegh Bahadur, Anandpur Sahib emerged from the ruins of ancient Makhowal. This city of bliss, as its name suggests, has been a symbol of Sikh heritage and tradition, spirituality and peace of mind. The Baisakhi celebrations in 1999 were particularly significant, marking the 300th Anniversary of the birth of the Khalsa.
